A Cali Girl Living in a Southern World

Welcome!

I hope you are able to find this to be a place of love, self-expression, and creativity. As you listen to my music and hear the stories behind the songs, I pray that your heart is lifted and that you find yourself in the journey as well; that you hear a piece of yourself in it. Music transcends the heart and soul to create a life all its own, one that connects even the most inner parts of our being with the outer world. That is my hope and aim with you being here—that you find a piece of yourself that you never knew existed and that you feel connected to others in a way that you never thought possible. Enjoy! :)

From California to Nashville

Have you ever wanted to take the journey of your life and see where you would end up? I did that when I left everything that I knew back in California and packed my bags to head to Nashville. It’s been the adventure of a lifetime filled with joy and expectation, and a bit of reflection and healing in there too. I hope you see a bit of yourself in my story of taking a leap of faith to find everything that you’ve been wanting to and more. Come along and hear about #mynashvillejourney :)

Journey with Faith

We often talk about God but do we know Him? Through my music, I hope to provide another perspective of faith and what it means to be an artist who is also a follower of Christ. I pray that through my music, whether you are a person of faith, someone who might be exploring faith, or someone who is far removed, you find a seat at the table when listening to my songs, hearing my stories, and exploring the wonder and awe of life. There is something for everyone here.

My Journey

August 1, 1981

My mama must have known that I was going to be a musician because I was born on the day that MTV started and named after the Beatles song “Michelle” :)

1992

A star was born when I secured the role of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz production at my elementary school and sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” At that moment, I realized that I could sing but tucked it away for many years.

2016

The song “Nashville” mysteriously and divinely popped into my head...and wouldn’t let go.

April 2019

After spending a few days in Nashville for the Rock N’ Roll marathon, I found that the lyrics of the song “Nashville” that had been divinely gifted to me were playing out in real life.

September 2019

Within a few months of my trip to Nashville, I made the decision to move there full-time to pursue singing and songwriting leaving my Silicon Valley and tech life behind.

February 2020

I hit the ground running and began producing my first album “Breaking Bread: Songs of Reconciliation.” and established God’s Voice LLC, a full-service record label and publishing house to release self-published and produced music.

November 2020

Working full-steam through the pandemic, I completed the 17-song album “Breaking Bread: Songs of Reconciliation”

June 2021

The single that was a gift to me from God, “Nashville,” was released on June 25, 2021, followed by five other singles from the album: “Two Feet at a Time,” “In or Out,” “Father’s Garden,” “Border Wall,” and “Cali Girl.”

July 2022

I released my debut album, “Breaking Bread: Songs of Reconciliation” on July 15, 2022.

“‘Breaking Bread’ represents an artist's search for truth - and striving towards personal growth, fulfillment, and completion. The selection of songs combines pop, contemporary and elements of the rich story telling tradition of country music.”
